- When you discover that your hamster has gotten out of it's cage, turn off the lights(but have a flash light)remember, hamsters are nocturnal creatures and are active at night.
- Shut any possible exits(doors, windows, etc.)
- Keep any pets or kids away. Your hamster will just want to hide if a a lot of animals are coming after it.
- Leave a trail of your hamsters favorite treat. Your hamster will most likely follow it.
- When you find your hamster, place it gently in its cage and make sure your hamster's cage doors are locked or shut.
